4 REASONS TO VISIT THE ONLY WATCH PREVIEW IN DUBAI
by AHMED SEDDIQI & SONS
Although saturated with ample reasons to attend the event, here are our top picks of why it’s a must visit.
1.There will be a collection of 52 bespoke timepiece creations.
The event will showcase 52 custom-built watches, displaying a variety of styles, complications and movements appealing to a wide range of watch-enthusiasts. A rare opportunity to see the exclusive designs, watch lovers will be able to view and appreciate the details and mechanics of the timepieces up close. With industry favorites such as a limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe’s 5208 titanium, the event is set to be a collector’s dream.
2.The winning bidders get more than they bargained for,
In addition to the rare watches, multiple brands are offering once in a lifetime opportunities to the winning buyer. An added value, the brands incentivise the auction bids with remarkable experiences such as a private tour of Tudor’s headquarters in Switzerland or a dinner with the charismatic CEO of Tag Heuer, Jean-Claude Biver.
It’s for a good cause.
Other than being the owner of a one-of-a-kind watch, the auction provides an altruistic and greater purpose of providing financial support to the worst of all muscular dystrophies. An inherited disorder, children are diagnosed with the crippling disease starting from the age of 3, affecting their mobility and eventually their organs. Founded by Luc Pettavino, the Only Watch initiative has been a fundamental contributor to the medical research and continues to do so with the generous donations of the watch community.
A great opportunity to network
The event will be a gathering of the regional watch committee with attendance from brands, collectors, and watch fans. The platform is an ideal occasion to meet like – minded individuals with an opportunity to network, gain insight and exchange ideas amongst horology enthusiasts.
