Lights, camera, action: Breitling presents a new line of Chronomat 36 and 32 watches, designed with women of purpose in mind

Breitling’s first-ever Chronomat designed for women is truly a family of watches developed for modern day. An array of colours, sizes, variations and power options ensures there is no limitation, regardless of taste of style of the wearer. Three powerful women have been selected to represent the spirit of this collection; Charlize Theron, Misty Copeland and Yao Chen. Each one a leader in her respective field, this ‘Spotlight Squad’ represents the diversity and elegance of these new timepieces.
Whilst its roots are in the 1980s, this forward-looking timepiece has a sporty yet elegant aesthetic that offers its wearer the ultimate luxury in the form of complete versatility. From beach to business meeting, this retro-inspired watch is designed to enhance style, rather than overshadow it.
The watches in the Chronomat range feature the brand’s iconic Rouleaux bracelet with a butterfly clasp and as with all Breitling chronometers, independent certification is awarded by COSC for their Swiss precision. Aqua-friendly, each one is water resistant to 100 metres. In terms of finish, these timepieces are nearly as diverse as the women on the Spotlight Squad. Along with the choice of sizes (36 mm Automatic and 32 mm SuperQuartz™), they are also available in an array of metal cases: cool stainless steel, bicolour, or 18 k red gold with an option for diamond set bezels and indexes.
The Chronomat Automatic 36 is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10 with a reserve of about 42 hours. There are ten versions to choose from, with special lacquered dials in white, pale green, midnight blue, or copper. The Chronomat 32 runs on the Breitling Caliber 77 and has a battery life of three to four years. It comes in seven versions, with white or midnight blue dials.
